Antiquorum Auctioneers conducted a thematic auction titled, "Omegamania," through which properties of various owners of "Important Omega Collectors' Timepieces" were offered for sale.

This was conducted on Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, 2007, in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rhône.

Lot 297 is listed under Chapter XI, it's "Special Series" section, and is captioned, "Seamaster - 007, No. 1." This watch is described as follows.

Omega, 'Seamaster, Co-Axial, Professional, 300m,' No. 1, movement No. 81735282, Ref. SU 368.1631. Made in a numbered edition of 10007 examples in 2006, to coincide with the release of the film 'Casino Royale.'

Fine, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel diver's wristwatch with graduated blue bezel for decompression timing, date and a stainless steel Omega bracelet with deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original box, Certificate of Authenticity, and 3-year Omega guarantee....

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, lyre lugs, unidirectional revolving blue bezel with scalloped edges, graduated to 60 minutes, gas escape valve at 10, crown protected by crown guard at 3, screw-down back numbered and engraved, sapphire crystal.... Matt black with applied silvered 'shutter' motif, luminous steel-framed dot indexes and baton quarters, outer minute/seconds divisions, applied steel Omega symbol and 'Seamaster' painted in red at 12 o'clock, date aperture. Skeletonized steel 'arrow' hands with luminous tips. Red-tipped luminous teel center seconds hand with '007' counterpoise.... Cal. 2500, rhodium-plated, 27 jewels, co-axial escapement, free-sprung monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring.

This watch was launched in 2006, to coincide with the release of 'Casino Royale.' It is the first James Bond limited series of watches using the famous Omega co-axial technology. The 'Seamaster Professional' has been the choice of Bond since Pierce Brosnan wore one in the 1995 film 'Golden Eye.'
